ADULT DOG ADVENTURE

£26 per morning session
  • Collection and drop off at your home! Collection between 9/10am and drop off between 12/1pm.
  • For friendly, sociable, active adult dogs.
  • Your dog will join a small, exclusive group of dogs to enjoy and experience different locations around Abergavenny and sometimes beyond! Morning session.
  • The group will have fun with challenges, play and activities including low level agility, scent games, find-it games and brain worker games.
  • All adventures are tailored to suit the loves and requirements of the dogs. Groups are centred on compatible dogs that get on and enjoy each other’s company.

£35 All day session
  • Collection and drop off at your home! Collection between 9/10am and drop off between 3/4pm.
  • For friendly, sociable, active adult dogs.
  • Your dog will join a small, exclusive group of dogs to enjoy and experience different locations around Abergavenny and sometimes beyond! All day session.
  • The group will have fun with challenges, play and activities including low level agility, scent games, find-it games and brain worker games. With time for lunch and rest in between!
  • All adventures are tailored to suit the loves and requirements of the dogs. Groups are centred on compatible dogs that get on and enjoy each other’s company.

HOME FROM HOME BOARDING

£38 per 24 hour stay (Dachshunds only)
  • Specialist boarding for Dachshunds in our own home.
  • Our home and garden are specially adapted for Dachshunds, with ramps.
  • Expert breed knowledge and understanding of potential health issues such as IVDD.
  • We provide the same love, care and attention to our visiting Sausage’s as we do for our own boys.
  • *Collection and drop-off service available at an additional cost and on request.
  • *Morning and full day Adventures can be added at heavily discounted prices!

We don't just walk dogs - we take them on adventures!

You are so much more than just a dog owner.......you are a dog parent and the Sausage Sitter and Friends is so much more than a bog- standard dog walking service, we offer 'more than just a walk round the block'!

Our Sausage Dog Adventures cater for puppies and friendly, sociable adult dogs and are tailored to suit the loves and requirements of your dog, whilst incorporating our Principles of "SAFE"*. Groups are centred on compatible dogs that are friendly and enjoy the company of other dogs.

We specialise in the care of Dachshunds offering Adventures and Day Care to Sausages of all sizes! We also offer a Dachshund exclusive home from home boarding service.

With 2 smooth mini boys of our own we only sit sausages so our home is well adapted with ramps for both our sofas and garden. We fully understand their needs and potential health issues such as IVDD.

We are located near Abergavenny in Monmouthshire, South Wales and our adventures are based in and around this beautiful area.

We all worry about leaving our dogs home alone or who we can entrust with their care. We don't want them suffering from separation anxiety and depression. This could lead them into behaviours we don’t want, such as shredding through cushions, chewing our favourite shoes, destroying furniture and howling or barking at anyone who passes by.

We can help by giving them the opportunity to get rid of all that pent up energy and frustration.

We achieve this by going to exciting locations where they can interact in small, social, group adventures. During our group adventures we play, we interact with challenges to stimulate their brains and reward with enrichment before returning home tired and calm, both physically and mentally.

Our mission is to improve the physical health and mental well being of all the dogs in our Sausage Sitter family. We aim to do this by connecting them to their environment and nature, through social safe adventures with fun and enrichment.

Remove the worry of ripped up furniture, howling/barking or sinking into depression or anxiety and you can leave the house feeling happy and guilt free!

We always use positive reinforcement methods and reward your dog's good behavior, listening and 'good canine' social skills.
